About ACA membership

ACA’s strength as an organisation lies on its extensive membership of national-level organisations across Europe and beyond. In their countries, ACA members are involved in a wide range of activities in the field of internationalisation of education, with particular focus on management of exchange programmes, promotion of national education and culture abroad, research and data collection, provision of education-related information and consultation, and formulating policy advice. In addition to its full members, ACA also has a number of associate members. These are national organisations of a similar profile, placed outside of Europe.

The role of the Association is to promote the interests and needs of its members vis-à-vis the European Commission and to influence European higher education and research policy through studies and research on trends in higher education internationalisation, such as the global promotion of European higher education, the collection on student mobility data, the provision of English-taught study programmes in non-English-speaking countries and international student support services. The members participate actively in the decision making and activities of the Association and co-host ACA’s Annual Conferences.

ACA membership is open to national organisations with similar profiles as current ACA members who are in charge of the internationalisation of higher education in their respective countries.

If you feel your organisation fits the profile, please contact the ACA Secretariat to obtain more details.
